Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. User roles determine the level of access each user has on a SwipeSimple account. Admin users have access to all account details, including reports, account settings, and transactions run by all users. Admin users will also be able to run transactions, refunds, and voids.

Only have access to their own transactions and can be assigned to specific merchant accounts. Member users can only process transactions and void items in their personal history.

No. The SwipeSimple Virtual Terminal is a web-based platform that requires an internet connection to function properly during use. The internet can be disabled between sessions without disrupting service, since all data is securely stored in the cloud and never locally on the machine.

The Address Verification Service (AVS) helps verify the cardholder’s billing address during online transactions. Using AVS can help prevent fraudulent charges and reduce chargebacks. Virtual Terminal transactions must include the cardholder’s billing address, and customers must enter their billing address when paying through Invoices or Payment Links.

SwipeSimple is a closed platform, and does not offer any public APIs or third party integrations at this time
